In 2015 it was announced that after years of having races at the other Disney properties, Run Disney confirmed that the Disneyland Paris half marathon weekend was actually going to happen. As unfit Disney fans Sam and Sharon signed up .. and if they were going to run it was going to be for a good cause. What better cause than Feel the Force Day. A fantastic weekend was had, over £1,000 was raised.
Helping disabled people get involved in sport
After 2 years of sucessful fundraising for Feel the Force Day we are now working towards helping more people with disabilities to get involved in running and other sports. More details coming soon.
How can you get involved?
Join the team 🙂 There are 3 main adult races : 5k, 10k and a half marathon (21.5k), as well as dedicated Kids races.
There are also 2 adult challenges 31k (10k + half) and the 36k (5k, 10k + half).
All can be run as a fun run (the half is timed and you have to run/walk at a certain speed). The others are fun runs. In all races we are actively encouraged to have fun, dress up in costumes and meet Disney characters, It is the *done thing* to have a costume .. it has to be a costume that is safe to run in though (no helmets or masks).
If you would like to join us as a runner or a supporter please let us know by sending us a message via Contact Us.
